Position: Area Sales Manager/Sr ASM

Location: Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India

Job Description:

The position

  • As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for defining sales budgets and ensuring adherence to set targets.
  • Build long-term strategic alliances with key accounts to continue to add value and promote Service offerings to identify/create and fulfill commercial opportunities.
  • You will work towards Novo Nordisk product/brand penetration in the markets that you are assigned with and ensure improvement month after month.
  • Would also be responsible for establishing and developing a professional relationship with important stakeholders like KOLs and also build new KOLs to ensure continued market growth.
  • You will be responsible for creating and implementing end-to-end account plans for key accounts, modifying medical science liaison composition, setting key performing indicators, and monitoring achievement.
  • You will be displaying a service mindset, proposing solutions, delivering results, and achieving sales targets across the product portfolio at targeted accounts.
  • Anchoring strong knowledge across the products in Novo Nordisk’s portfolio.
  • You would ensure the call plan execution, high level of consultative selling, and customer service by the scientific medical representatives (as per the account plan).
  • In collaboration with the marketing, medical team, and regional sales team, deliver the desired results.
  • Develop and retain a high performing sales team, communicate business strategy clearly, do effective coaching and engage employees through personal connect

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharma / Science / from a reputed institution.
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of pharma sales experience in good MNCs with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Exposure to Diabetes or other therapy areas like Oncology, Cardiology, etc. is preferred.
  • You should have excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills and should be very strong at stakeholder management.
  • Have a strong track record in thorough planning, execution, and follow-up is required, with a creative and innovative attitude that will enable you to drive initiatives with operational excellence in mind.
  • You should be open to relocation.
