Job Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provides leadership, influence, vision, digital and marketing expertise and direction to contribute to help exceed top and bottom-line results in the annual and 5-year Strategy Plan
  • Harness the opportunities being offered by digitalization in the business to business and business to consumer areas, sourcing and supply chain and to develop digital capabilities within organization (embedding digital in every aspect of the business, processes and technology)
  • Establish and drive technology roadmaps that align with current and future business needs
  • Influence organization’s commercial and functional leaders including in India, Region and Global teams to help accelerate and embed digitization in the India Region.
  • Partner with key external parties including venture capital funds, incubators, startups, other corporates, across sectors, to bring the best in market to within the organisation.
  • Highly visible role — influence the digital transformation journey across the whole organization, as well as manage the existing digital portfolio and grow the digital offering.

Key Responsibilities of Role of CDD:

  • Define the digital vision for Our compa in India and lead the execution of our digital transformation strategy
  • Own, define and continue to refine the organization’s online presence (mobile, social media, internet)
  • Define marketing strategies to optimally promote organization’s presence seamlessly across the digital spectrum
  • Helped build (internal capability, external partnerships, internal partnerships) leading edge digital sales and marketing capabilities bolstered by the data analytics team.
  • Support the offline efforts of the sales force by supplementing reach, engagement, refining prospects and improving engagement parameters.
  • Setup the digital team from scratch — setup organization structure, recruit team and build a proactive, agile, flat startup-like culture in the team.
  • Setup a team of data scientists responsible for advanced analytical solutions that include predictive analytics, machine learning, simulation, and optimization techniques to that generate management insights and enable customer-facing applications.
  • Utilize technical acumen and in-depth understanding of business processes and practices to influence the creation and execution of operational and strategic plans.
  • Enable efficiency and speed in processes across functional areas – in Supply chain, Finance, talent sourcing and in HR.
  • Collaborate with other analytical leaders to fulfill the strategic direction of the business through data and information exploration, research of emerging technologies or analytical techniques and long-term defined/project specific strategic assignments.
  • Direct the design and construction of large and complex data sets from large amounts of structured and unstructured data (internal and external) to enable analytical solutions the deliver meaningful insights to commercial and other teams.
  • Define, implement, measure and analyze KPIs to assess the performance of organization digital transformation programs.
  • Understand future requirements of the business and recommend potential digital partners across the industry to deliver on the strategy.
  • Form strong relationships with the senior leadership team to ensure that digital thinking is embedded across the organization and that the digital team is plugged into and can exceed wider organizational objectives
  • In discussion with the IT & other Business heads, drive the adoption of newer technologies such as Cloud computing, Blockchain, Data warehousing, Analytics, Security and IoT.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in defining and delivering a vision for a customer-focused digital function

  • Engineering background / undergraduate degree preferred in any technical or scientific area; an MBA or MSc preferred but not mandatory.   Experience should include 5 years at a senior level in the digital space.
  • Experience as a current or former consultant with Big 4 consulting firms would be desirable. Combination of consulting and industry side digital experience (especially FMCG, Telecoms, Consumer Health) would be preferred.
  • Proven experience in defining and delivering a vision for a customer-focused digital function
  • Energetic, positive and evangelical about the opportunities of digital, willing to take people with you at different paces.
  • Strong influencing skills and experience of working in complex stakeholder environments, ideally including with regional and global teams.

Qualification: B.Sc/B.Pharma, MBA/PGDM

Experience: Minimum 10 Years of Relevant Experience:

Salary: Negotiable
