Position: Group Product Manager – Nephrology

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Job Description:

Responsible for the successful delivery and marketing of company products and services offerings, including:

Market Expert

  • Be the product visionary for your product portfolio, providing a clear direction for your products
  • Keep abreast of the latest market trends and the wider macro-environment and maintain awareness of how this may affect our business
  • Develop and maintain good knowledge of customer working practices in relation to the use of our products and services
  • Undertake ongoing market and competitor intelligence/research to identify and evaluate the potential of new product/market / application opportunities
  • Act as the product champion’ internally, providing support and training to Sales & Marketing through internal briefings, responding to ad-hoc queries and tenders and ensuring that accurate product information is maintained (e.g. Product Briefings, Features & Benefits analysis, USPs argumentation, competitor analysis, pricing, ROI and TCO models)
  • Create and deliver company/product/thought leadership presentations at key events (internal & external) throughout the year

Product Development

  • Work with the Head of Product & Marketing and other members of the product management team to develop and continually evolve the long-term product strategy
  • Prepare and maintain a product roadmap for your portfolio, identifying and scoping product enhancement and new product development opportunities
  • Prepare business cases to support the definition of new products and enhancements to existing products
  • Work with relevant project managers to oversee all approved NPD projects for your portfolio, ensuring that projects deliver the required features and benefits outlined in the business case on time and on budget and actively managing risks/issues that may occur to minimize their impact
  • Own the process for prioritizing defect fixes and small product enhancements to ensure that a good balance is achieved and that customer reported defects are assigned a suitable priority to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Review relevant user documentation and ensure that all changes to products are communicated clearly and fully to both internal and external customers to minimize queries raised

Commercially Focused

  • Produce and implement robust ‘product launch’ plans to ensure that each product meets its commercial objectives during its lifetime, working with Sales & Marketing to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Maintain a clear financial overview of product sales, revenues and numbers, development spend, etc for individual products
  • Be responsible for setting and maintaining prices in order that the products remain competitively priced and that margins are maximized
  • Work with third parties where appropriate to ensure the long-term success of your product suite
  • Produce supporting collateral, key messages, and product training to ensure that the sales team and international partners are fully equipped to sell the products/solutions before they hit the market
  • Work with Marketing to ensure that all related marketing collateral is clearly focused, with strong persuasive messaging and is consistently maintained
  • Work with Sales to identify early target customers for engagement, creating a plan to secure reference sites within a few months of the date of release
  • Actively manage customer expectations (for new and existing products) to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction

Qualification: MBBS, BAMS, B.Pharma, B.Sc, M.Pharma, MS/M.Sc, MBA/PGDM

Experience: 5-10 Years

Salary: Negotiable
