Designation: Internal Communication Specialist | Corporate Communications

Location: Bengaluru

Job Description:

Scope & Responsibility:

The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing internal/employee communications content and forums which create excitement, drive engagement, align teams and individuals and shape culture.

  • Establish an internal communications plan in conjunction with senior management and business/functional leaders.
  • Ensure that the company’s values, goals, initiatives, events, successes, and challenges are successfully communicated to employees in a relevant and timely manner
  • Plan, write, and manage timely content for a variety of internal communication mediums, such as the employee intranet, monthly magazine, regular email bulletins, employee town-hall meetings, etc.
  • Keep the leadership apprised of progress on communication interventions
  • Interact closely with businesses and functions to storyboard or translate ideas into narratives for employees
  • Create presentations for organizational events, such as town-halls, leader meetings, etc.
  • Ensure internal communications are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization
  • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages
  • Seek and respond to feedback from employees and adjust communications content accordingly
  • Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation
  • Monitor happening’s and developments throughout the organization, and make informed decisions on what communication is required
  • Ensure that all communication and messaging adheres to the company’s brand standard guidelines

Key skills

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills as well as a journalistic ability to source stories from businesses and functions.
  • Strong speaking skills that enable seamless interactions across levels of employees.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with different departments and functions in Biocon. It also needs to possess the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication strategies and initiatives.
  • Requires the creative ability to devise communication initiatives and messaging in a compelling manner that motivates and inspires.
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication, is essential. Proficiency in MS Office applications is a must.

Qualification: BA in Communication, MBA/PGDM in Advertising or Mass Communication

Experience: 7-10 Years

Salary: Negotiable
