Position: Manager Chemical, Science & Technology

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Job Description:

Job Profile:

To provide technical support for Alternate Source Qualification for all Raw Materials

Primary Job Function:

  • To prepare the physical characteristic evaluation report
  • To review and evaluate tech pack dossier shared by Raw material supplier
  • To access and comply with regulatory, quality, statutory, EHS, and Pharmacovigilance   requirements

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive ASQ activities as per Abbott guidelines and SOP
  • Technical lead – finalizing of API process comparison report
  • Carry out detailed activities including API process comparison, physical characterization evaluation and report, participate in Due diligence and GMP audit of new vendor facility, 7-key criteria assessment
  • Review and write technical development and justification report
  • Coordinate and liaise with regulatory for submissions
  • Support RA for deficiency questions
  • Troubleshoot and solve difficult technical problems related to API
  • Evaluation of API route of synthesis
  • Preparation of physical assessment report

Experience & Qualifications Required :

  • M.Sc Organic Chemistry with 10 – 15 years of relevant experience of working in a pilot plant lab of API manufacturing company.
  • The incumbent should have an understanding of the manufacturing processes of the API Plant and NCE.
  • He / She should have expertise in API route of synthesis, change solvent, knowledge of reactors, vendor development, etc.
