Position: Manager – Market Access

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Job Description:

Role Purpose:

This role’s primary purpose is to significantly improve access to Pfizer therapies in India Market.

The primary responsibilities are:

  • Strategize, Oversee, Design, and implement the Market Access Plan for Pfizer therapies in India and neighboring countries under India Market
  • Work with stakeholders in India commercial, Access, Finance, Policy, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Supply Chain, and global H&V functions, validating, creating detailed strategy and implementation plans targeting access improvement in private and public segments.
  • Develop innovative access improvement models by surveying the landscape for new partnerships, and channel development
  • Identify access hurdles along the patient journey from incidence till treatment and adherence, strategize, and implement solutions to shape India healthcare system from a long term standpoint
  • Develop and submit proposals, oversee and implement access plans with an end to end accountability, define project plan, and key success factors
  • Measure, analyze, and improve the impact of access solutions implemented.

The role holder will have direct responsibility for the execution of market access plans to enable direct and indirect revenue budget.

This is a Team contributor and will report to the Director of Commercial Channels & Market Access.

The individual will help formulate a market access plan for Pfizer India, enabling the enterprise to achieve its commercial objectives in a complex, evolving, out of pocket payer environment.


Strategic – Develops strategies and innovative models to improve multifold access to Pfizer therapies in India.

Operational – Coaches the team and Implements the strategies, while working and guiding on operational elements such as price approvals, patient journey maps, stakeholders maps, influencer maps, and internal documentation.

Digital – Innovates so as to leverage technology to improve access, and implement or provide analytical, business, and compliance insights for access initiatives and support programs.

People Management – Manages team, exhibits a high level of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Compliance – Ensures all patient journey information, and program creation and implementation are in adherence to internal policies and compliance guidelines.


  • Develops and coaches team and self to create and implement access plans to improve significantly the access to Pfizer therapies in India market
  • Oversees approvals of plans, and implementation, and measurement of impact
  • Develops access strategy and long range plans for India and builds the department
