Job Description:

About the department

Novo Nordisk India affiliate office is in Bangalore & has more than 1,300 people working across the country in various functions. The team is responsible for marketing, market access, and public relations. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for managing product marketing strategy, developing marketing plans, and executing of product marketing objectives.

The position: 

As a Product Manager, you are a key member of the US brand team and responsible for brand marketing planning of launched brands with a key focus on implementing marketing plans, tactics and generating insights from multiple channels. Facilitating uptake with excellent internal and external stakeholder management, financial and project management.

•    You are accountable to contribute to the development and implementation of the overall strategy, key strategic imperatives, positioning & messaging for assigned products in order to ensure the achievement of Novo Nordisk P&L goals.
•    You Identify key customer needs, drivers, and barriers from a variety of sources (market research, survey, non-personal selling, etc.)
•    You perform analyses on customer and market data to plan for brand/channel opportunities and multichannel approach
•    You develop personal and non-personal HCP and patient promotional materials – collaborate with COE for respective expertise in the customer segment
•    You Utilize knowledge of competitor products, trends, and activities to reinforce effective product differentiation
•    You contribute to cross-functional projects that are aligned with strategic objectives and communication plans
•    You monitor metrics to ensure that all tactics are meeting brand objectives, or make modifications as necessary
•    You contribute to the development and implementation of healthcare professional and patient portals and external internet sites (eg Youtube pages) with ongoing content management functions and web analytics
•    You are accountable to manage the brand/portfolio budget process for the designated area

This job is located in Bangalore, India and this position will work seamlessly in the matrix organization with the Marketing Manager in Bangalore and in Brand Director in the US. International travel may be required for 8-10 days a year.


You need to have the below knowledge and skills:
•    A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA degree is preferred
•    Good academic track records and grades
•    Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, collecting data, effectively synthesizing the analytics/data to form a complete, cohesive picture
•    Ability to translate complex topics into simple and efficient communications and develop storylines for presentations etc
•    Technical skills: MS PowerPoint, MS Excel (pivot, etc.) and MS Word is a must
•    5+ years in Sales/Brand management/Marketing/Project Management/ Healthcare market research related experience within the Pharmaceutical industry

About the department

The Commercial & Corporate Affairs – Global Business Services unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within CSCA, including Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning, Multichannel Marketing, and Commercial Operations. The unit also supports Biopharm for Haemophilia and growth disorders.
