Designation: Senior Manager – Forecasting
Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India
Job Description:
This role is responsible for commercial forecasting, data analytics, and project people management for our products by applying various statistical techniques, communicating therapy area knowledge, and market dynamics to the development team, and managing stakeholders.
Our Marketing team is passionate about bringing our medicines and vaccines to our customers around the world. Through digital listening and patient analytics, we are able to understand our customers’ needs and strive to provide solutions to meet them.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project planning and management.
- Lead and manage the team responsible for deploying analytical solutions to inform forecasts and drive decision-making across the country, Regional and Global marketing, and finance stakeholders.
- Identify business problems to be solved by applying analytical techniques to business problems
- Exhibit excellence in thought-leadership, problem-solving and effective team management
- Build capabilities in the team to independently ideate, conceptualize and develop advanced statistical models and algorithms to infer large quantum of data by using appropriate tools and techniques
- Manage communication with the stakeholders and explain complex analytical solutions and actionable insights to the business stakeholders in a simplified manner
- Manage the entire project in a time-bound manner with allocated resources.
People Management
- Participate in the selection process, manage resources, track, monitor, review, and guide performance.
- Provide developmental feedback, suggest training programs, and facilitate the developmental process for own team in order to achieve the objectives through an engaged team.
- Drive innovation and creative thinking within the team

Communication and Collaboration
- Lead the communication & collaborate with Global stakeholders like Global Brand leads, Country marketing/business leads, who are spread across the globe.
- Lead communication in a global multi-country / multi-cultural environment.
- Build additional capabilities identified by the developed strategic plan around Therapy area management, advanced analytics, reporting and dashboards, forecast error measurement, new forecast methods that can bring continuous improvement to CoE’s deliverables
In the discharge of your responsibilities, you will be required to undertake such other jobs as may be assigned to you by the Management from time to time.
Qualification: Masters in Stats/Maths/CS/ OR other Quantitative and Analytic Domains
Experience: Minimum 7 Years on Multiple Data sets/Algorithms
Desired Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an ambiguous situation
- Good communication skills and engagement skills for coordinating across teams
- Knowledge of advanced statistical technique and concepts and experience in application
- Expertise on advanced statistical software’s like R, SAS or Python
- Knowledge of advanced technologies like machine learning and their real-time usage with pros and cons
- Pharmaceutical experience mandatory
