Position: Sr Product Manager (SCM) Manufacturing Performance

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Job Description:

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.  These responsibilities include some of the following.

  • Understand customer needs through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Work with colleagues from multi-disciplinary backgrounds to set a clear and cohesive strategy for your product area, whilst maintaining space to incorporate new ideas.
  • Create a product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Write clear, concise, and intuitive user stories that focus on resolving problems and delivering user outcomes.
  • Rigorously apply the scientific method and lean start-up thinking to set hypotheses, design experiments, test assumptions, and break-down complex problems into smaller activities
  • Measure the impact of all new work released on your roadmap, close the value loop and ensure adoption
  • Play the role of the ‘Product Owner’ and making timely decisions.
  • Work as a servant-leader, reducing dependencies, removing blockers, and coordinating with other product teams and key stakeholders.
  • Lead and coach Product Developers.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate-level education in any discipline.
  • Significant experience within Pharmaceutical / Consumer (FMCG) Manufacturing Business Units; using, maintaining or managing manufacturing execution systems (including, AspenTech Manufacturing Suite and OEE)
  • Experience developing technology products from concept to adoption
  • Managed a team of product analysts and have a passion for developing people
  • Prior experience of working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders to manage
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of product management techniques which include
    • customer development,
    • discovery & primary research,
    • lean start-up method and
    • industrialization / scaling up

  • Experience running product teams using self-defined Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Experience working across product, UX & Design and Engineering teams and ability to create a balance among them
  • Experience of modeling, presenting data or developing visuals to drive understanding and improvements
  • Strong level of expertise and proficiency required with a broad knowledge of applications, integration, data & technology
  • Strong relationship building, team working and influencing skills
  • Good understanding of business area strategic goals, processes and workflow, and of the Technology tools deployed to support
  • Highly competent in managing day-to-day technical and design direction
  • Self-motivated, pragmatic, resourceful and acts without waiting to be told what to do
